My name is Robert Yang, a 10th grader at the Scarsdale High School. I'm a coin collector, mostly collecting Chinese or other East Asian cash coins. Through my journey as a collector and my research, I've come to understand coins' connections to the economy, society, and history. Coins are much more than a medium of exchange. They depict gods and goddesses from different cultures, magnificent structures, and even forgotten kings from long ago. Coins carry the experiences of people from all lengths of time. Studying coins helps us understand how a society works and connects with other parts of the world. My purpose in creating this website is to educate the public on coins and history and foster understandings of our commonality and connections.
